Victor van Baal

     Victor van Baal, (a.k.a. "The Axe"), is a founding member and also the Bass Guitarist for "Recover". He was born in the Netherlands in 1964, "The Year of the Dragon". He fell in love with the Bass guitar after hearing "The Awakening" by the Reddings in 1984.

    Victor entwines the Rhythm Section with the rest of the band through his fascinating finger style bass grooves, played on his classic Les Paul Gibson Bass. He is also one of the backup vocalists for the band. Besides being a perfectionist, Victor has excellent organizational skills and is the "Keystone" of "Recover", always making sure that everything goes as smoothly as possible!

    Victor's bass playing has been influenced by Adam Clayton (U2), Rinus Gerritsen (Golden Earring), Sting, and Stuart Zender (Jamiroquai).
