“The Recover Story” began in the Spring of 2006 with a conversation

between two expatriates, Greg Henry of the USA (guitar) and Victor van Baal

from the Netherlands (Bass). That afternoon, while drinking Greek wine in an

Athenian garden, they decided to get together for a jam session.

It was at that session, while playing for some friends, that Greg and Victor

 realized their potential and decided to form a Rock and Roll Band!

They placed an advertisement on the internet and in an Athenian magazine,

 requesting interested musicians and singers to audition for the band.

 After auditions and screening, the group became complete with the 

addition of three other band members, each contributing

 to what is now the very distinguishable “Recover Sound”. 

Christopher Pulford, (England), brought genuine originality and experience

to the band with his acoustic and electric guitar sound.

 John Muller, (USA), Recover's flamboyant front man, added a powerful

and distinctive voice, plus years of stage experience to the band, having 

written, arranged, performed, and co-produced several of his own songs.

Rob Blagg, (USA), with his virtuoso drums, added a touch of discipline and

professionalism, having played the USA club circuit during the late Seventies

and early Eighties.

Each band member had his own musical preferences ranging from Blues

and Soul to Rock and Pop, and this is reflected by the selection of

 Cover Songs that the band performs. 

"Recover" pays tribute to several legendary bands and artists such as

Bryan Adams,  R.E.M., Van Morrison, U2, Rolling Stones, 

and Robert Palmer, just to name a few.

With their versatile grooves and impressionable performances,  

“Recover” has and is, making it's mark on the 

Athens Music Scene!
